Helping Leaders Realize Workplace Potential

Some of our Clients and What They Say About Us

Calliope had the right tools, the right training, and the right timing when it came to helping us assess and promote Teligence's learning culture. Their outcome focused yet pedagogically sound approach helped me propose and then deliver results that benefited our people and the bottom line.

Calliope's sessions with Schneider Electric were transformational. Tammy & Dave gave us a great foundation of concepts & tools that helped us take our leadership to the next level. We were a strong leadership team before the session. After the session, we realized that we had become even stronger. I've never learned more about myself and my peers in one day than I did with the Calliope session on MBTI. It was a paradigm shift that I will never forget.

I approached this course with caution. I was really interested in the material, but I've had my share of training activities that were more about feeling uncomfortable than they were about learning. By the end of the first day it was clear that my concerns were unnecessary. Dave and Tammy demonstrate great respect for their participants and clearly understand the value of the time being invested. By the second session I had gone from cautious to enthusiastic.

Tammy Dewar first became involved with Royal Roads University in 1997 and since then has made a substantial contribution to the f2f and online development of our degree programs in leadership and distributed learning. Her f2f and online facilitation, coaching, and program development skills have been excellent examples of best practice in what is a complex and emerging arena. Her leadership and consultancy skills have been valued, and we've called on her extensively in meeting our vision of delivering high quality learning experiences to mid career professionals.

Within the e-learning community, most people know Dave Whittington or have heard of his work. He is a national figure. His contribution to innovative initiatives like Clyde Virtual University and the Scotia consortium is balanced by equally important contributions to a deeper understanding of how people learn in a virtual environment. In recent years, he has led a number of research projects in this area and his work is widely published. His technical and pedagogic skills are impressive.

The MBTI, if used appropriately, is a fantastic tool that provides insight and strategies towards working effectively within a team environment. Prior to Tammy's session I had been exposed to MBTI briefly but did not realize the scope of the tool in working successfully with a wide variety of people. Following her session I was able to use the profiles of my own team members to gain understanding of their individual behavior's and then work towards consensus in many of our decisions. Tammy has a humorous, honest and challenging approach to facilitating learning opportunities - the time just flies by and you always wish there was more!

Some of my best personal growth has come from working with Tammy Dewar and Calliope Learning. Tammy has a way to peel back the layers of an issue with a timely, well thought out question. Her coaching techniques make me look at issues differently and she challenges me to stretch myself and my leadership style. Tammy understands the business world and can help make sense of it when the pressure is on and everyone wants a piece of you. Her academic background and knowledge of the issues helps create an approach that produces buy-in through the development of a personal learning plan against which progress is measured.
